About VCUDA
The Vermont Communications Union Districts Association serves to unite the interests of Vermont’s growing municipal internet networks, devising ways to share resources and voicing CUD consensus on critical policy issues.
-
VCUDA helps organize CUDs to share their resources, scaling up the purchasing of goods and services to reduce overall costs across the state.
-
The Association represents the interests and policy positions of the CUDs to the Vermont Community Broadband Board, the General Assembly, and various agencies and nonprofits around the state and country.

Governance
The VCUDA Board is made up of representatives from each CUD. Key issues are discussed and voted upon at bi-weekly meetings, open to the public. Meeting links can be found here.
Executive functions are carried out by a group of officers, elected to two-year terms.
VCUDA is an unincorporated association acting as an instrumentality of its member municipalities, which are in turn organized in accordance with the provisions of 30 V.S.A. Chapter 82. Full Association bylaws can be found in our Public Records.
